Program Diode is a hair removal technology using laser light energy with various wavelengths (ranging from 800-1,350 nanometers) fired into the skin to directly destroy hair root cells. The working principle of the Diode laser is using a process called “Selective Photothermolysis”.
The machine emits light energy in a wavelength range designed to be best absorbed by melanin pigment in the hair root. The sensation during Program Diode Laser is mostly not painful, but rather a warm feeling on the skin, similar to a light rubber band snap. Because the machine has a cooling system, it helps reduce pain and prevents skin burns, making it a more comfortable procedure than other types of lasers.
Generally, Program Diode Laser is recommended to be done continuously for about 5–8 sessions, with an interval of about 4–6 weeks between each session.
